Alicia Keys Performs LIVE at Democratic National Convention

As the Obama era comes to a close, the time is drawing nearer for us to choose a new leader of our free nation. On July 25, 2016, Hilary Clinton accepted the Democratic nomination to run for President of The United States!

The Democratic National Convention was full of supporters for nominee Hilary Clinton. From celebrities to political leaders, everyone made their voices heard in support of the Clinton Campaign!

No convention would be complete without performances from some of today’s biggest celebrities! Alicia Keys was asked to perform and we know she couldn’t have done it without Adam Blackstone, CEO of BASSic Black Entertainment, and BBE band!

VH1’s Hip Hop Honors

VH1 honored the 1st Ladies of Hip Hop during this year’s Hip Hop Honors! Queen Latifah, Salt N Pepa, Missy Elliott, and the one and only “Queen B” Lil’ Kim!

After a six-year hiatus from the awards show, Hip Hop Honors came back with a vengeance! With performances by Tweet, Fantasia, French Montana, Ashanti, and a surprise appearance by The King of Bad Boy, Diddy, the show brought in more than 3 MILLION viewers! Making this year’s show better than ever!

CEO of BASSic Black Entertainment, Adam Blackstone,  worked tirelessly with all the honorees, guest artists, and BBE band to ensure that the divas of Hip Hop were properly honored and recognized for their contribution to the legacy of Hip Hop!

McDonald’s 365Black Awards

McDonald’s hosted their 2016 365 Black Awards in New Orleans, LA during Essence Festival on July 1! This year’s honorees included actress Wendy Raquel Robinson, Larry Triplett, and the one and only Toni Braxton. Hosted by “House of Payne” star actor Lance Gross and singer/actress Amber Riley, the show was packed with memorable performances and surprise guest appearances!

The 365Black Awards continues to provide McDonald’s with a broader platform to pay homage to icons, exceptional youth, everyday people and owner operators whose vision, compassion, relentless courage, and daily diligence have resulted in significant local, national, and/or global impact. Along with being fully integrated with ESSENCE Festival Weekend, the show offers a platform where McDonald’s can deliver branding/marketing messages among a captured audience at the event and among a key adult African American target via online distribution.

Adam Blackstone, CEO of BASSic Black Entertainment, was slated once again as the ceremony’s Musical Director. Adam and the BBE band and singers backed some of the most legendary artists in the game!

2016 BET Awards

The 2016 BET Awards provided many surprise performances and appearances by some of today’s HOTTEST celebrities!!

From Beyonce’ and Kendrick Lamar’s surprise performance of “Freedom”, to Stevie Wonder and Sheila E paying tribute to our most recent fallen star, Prince. The night’s performances were electrifying and left the audience on their feet from beginning to end.

Adam Blackstone, CEO of BASSic Black Entertainment, provided the Musical Direction for this years awards show. The BBE band, equipped with a few of today’s top musicians and background vocalists, created an unmistakable sound for all the performers and arrangements for the opening host sketch.

Justin Timberlake LIVE at Genentech Benefit Concert

Genentech’s “Give Back Week” concluded with a charity benefit concert for local and national non-profit organizations.

Genentech is a leading biotechnology company that discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes medicines to treat patients with serious or life-threatening medical conditions. We are among the world’s leading biotech companies, with multiple products on the market and a promising development pipeline.

Justin Timberlake was among the list of performers for this benefit concert. He had his original 20/20 World Tour Band in tow with none other than Adam Blackstone as musical director.
