The 2019 BET Awards was one for the BOOKS!
Hosted by DC native, Regina Hall, she brought some of her hometown flair to the awards show stage! Opening the show with a Beyonce inspired performance of some of DC’s top Go-Go songs with DC’s legendary Go-Go artists!

BET’s gospel singing competition “Sunday Best” makes its return with host and Gospel Superstar, Kirk Franklin! This year’s judges are Grammy Award Nominated soul-singer, Kelly Price, Erica Campbell of the Gospel Duo “Mary Mary”, and singer/songwriter Jonathan McReynolds.
