TV One’s Verses & Flow: Season 3

Season 3 of “Verses & Flow”, presented by Lexus, premiered on September 11, 2013. With performances from R&B powerhouses and up and coming poets, Season 3 was packed with loads of entertainment and thought provoking spoken word.

Adam Blackstone, CEO of BASSic Black Entertainment, continued as Musical Director for a 3rd season and provided the house band. Providing talent from award winning artists, and BBE clients, such as Jill Scott, Mary Mary, and Vivian Green.

Omari Hardwick, better known from his roles in “For Colored Girls” and “Sparkle”, served as host for the 3rd season in a row. With 12 episodes this season there were all-star performances from the best spoken word artists and musical performances from the most notable R&B artists in every episode!

Justin Timberlake receives Video Vanguard Award at MTVs Video Music Awards

Justin Timberlake’s performance for the MTV Video Music Awards was directed by none other than BASSic Black Entertainment CEO Adam Blackstone!!

Mr. Suit & Tie himself set Barclays Center on fire with his high energy performance before receiving his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Starting off with a taped segment of “Take Back The Night” while strolling thru the lobby with his background dancers, JT immediately grabbed the attention of everyone in the audience! He had props set up on different stages throughout the venue while performing such hits as “Sexy Back”, “Cry Me A River” and “Like I Love You”. He also reunited with his former boy band members of ‘NSync to perform one of their biggest hits “Bye Bye Bye”

Justin wrapped up his standing ovation performance with his “20/20 Experience” hits “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors”

BASSic Black Entertainment Hosts EXCLUSIVE After Party

The BASSic Black Entertainment team threw what’s been called one of the HOTTEST party after the “Legends of the Summer” tour stop in Philadelphia, PA!

Sigma Sound studios was the place to be after the Legends of the Summer Tour with Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z! The party was overflowing with good music, lavish drinks, and excited patrons. With DJ Aktive on the 1s and 2s and performances/appearances by Marsha Ambrosius, Chill Moody, BBE’s own Aaron Camper, and yes, Mr. Timberlake himself! BASSic Black Entertainment proved to throw the party of the summer no one wanted to miss!

So So Def’s 20th Anniversary Concert

SoSo Def celebrated 20 years of music in the birth place of the label, Atlanta, Georgia!

Atlanta’s Fox Theatre served as host for SoSo Def’s 20th Anniversary concert with performances from the past and present. Kris Kross opened up the show with a performance of their classic 90’s hit “Jump”. Other performances by Usher, Ludacris, Lil’ Jon, Xscape, Jagged Edge, Da Brat, Anthony Hamilton, Mariah Carey, and many more! The “Jigga Man” himself, Jay-Z, even surprised the audience with a collabo performance of “Money Aint a Thang” with Jermaine Dupri.

Former American Idol contestant and YouTube sensation, Leah Labelle performs in Los Angeles during Grammy Awards Weekend 2013 under the Musical Direction of BASSIc Black Entertainment and Adam Blackstone, for BET’s Music Matters. Leah performed a few of the cover songs she sung on her infamous youtube posts and her new single “Sexify” to a room full neo-soul music lovers.
