The BET Awards celebrated its 15th Anniversary in a major way! Performances included Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill, Janelle Monae, a tribute to Janet Jackson and Smokey Robinson, and a surprise Bad Boy Reunion by Diddy, Mase, 112, Faith Evens, and the Queen Bee herself Lil Kim!!

BASSic Black Entertainment CEO, Adam Blackstone, continues to make a name for himself as one of the most sought after Musical Directors in the industry today! Adam, and the entire BBE All-Star band, were hired as the house band for the entire award show! From the programming to the instrumentation, the entire show was first class all the way!

Ed Sheeran’s All-Star Collaboration for The 57th Annual Grammy Awards

The 57th Annual Grammy Awards were filled with celebrities and performers, some of which are clients of BASSic Black Entertainment!!

CEO, Adam Blackstone, took to the Grammy stage as Musical Director for Ed Sheeran’s performance of “Thinking Out Loud” with the legendary Herbie Hancock, John Mayer, and ?uestlove of The Roots. Unofficially awarded the title of “Most Preposterously Talented Supergroup Backing Band” by OkayPlayer.com, this collaboration was a pleasant surprise for Grammy viewers and music lovers alike.

With the help of Questlove on drums, John Mayer on lead guitar, Herbie Hancock on piano, and the legendary Adam Blackstone on bass, Sheeran tore through his heartache anthem “Thinking Out Loud” and made a few fans at the OKP office as a result.

This Thursday, October 30th, the Hammerstein Ballroom saw the return of the Alicia Keys’ 11th Annual Black Ball. Performances were lead by BBE House band and Musical Director Adam Blackstone, including Alicia Keys, Swizz Beats, Angel Haze, Nas, Sean Puffy Combs and David Byrne. The Global Citizens Festival is a movement intended to bring an end to extreme poverty across the world!
